Josh Tillman, aka Father John Misty, one of the greatest singer-songwriters of our time, is back with his fifth album, Chloe and the Next 20th Century, his first in four years. will release his fifth album, Chloe and the Next 20th Century, his first since 2018's God's Favorite Customer, on April 8, 2022 via Sub Pop (Bella Union in Europe). The album was written/recorded between August and December 2020 and features arrangements by Drew Erickson (Lana Del Rey, Weyes Blood, etc.) Tillman will be joined by longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson ( Tillman produced Chloe and the Next 20th Century with longtime collaborator Jonathan Wilson ( Conor Oberst, Bonnie 'Prince' Billy, etc.), with Dave Cerminara as engineer/mixer, and recorded the basic tracks at Wilson's studio, Five Star The basic tracks were recorded at Wilson's studio, Five Star.Strings, brass, and woodwinds were recorded at United Recordings in a session that included Dan Higgins and Wayne Bergeron. The album includes "Funny Girl," "Q4," "Goodbye Mr. Blue," "Kiss Me (I Loved You)," and 11 other songs.
