Murano pendants often include lovely glass Millefiori pieces - a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers)or Murrine pieces (singular: murrina, also referred to as murrini) which are coloured patterns or images made when a glass cane (long rods of glass) is cut in cross-sections (like a loaf of bread)
