MGO 550+ honey is a mono-floral Manuka. 'Mono' floral indicates that the honey is produced entirely from nectar of the Manuka Bush, a flora native to New Zealand. Mono-floral Manuka's often have a higher MGO rating, due to their purity. The hives are situated in remote parts of the Taranaki forest, where the bee's live un-disturbed and free to roam. This results in some of the purest and cleanest forms of Manuka honey. Manuka has been used by New Zealand's indigenous people for thousands of years, for its wellness benefits and of course, delicious taste. The same is still true today, with Manuka making a great addition to any supplement regime.
