The latest album by one of the most famous British folk vocalists, Shirley Collins! Shirley Collins, one of the leading female vocalists of the British folk/trad scene from the 50s to the 70s, has released her third album for Domino, "Archangel Hill"! Her latest album "Archangel Hill" is her third for Domino! All of the songs on the album were recorded last year, except for "Hand And Heart," taken from a live performance at the Sydney Opera House in 1980, and the words of writer F. C. Ball, Fred's great uncle, are used in the songs. Produced by Ian Carey, the arrangements were co-produced by Shirley's beloved and talented sister Dolly Collins, Carey Barnes, and The Lodestar Band players Dave Arthur and Pete Cooper. This is a superb piece of fine female folk that showcases Shirley Collins' bubbly, resonant, one-of-a-kind voice!
