Skin type: Congested, oily, inflamed skin

Oil cleansing is one of the most beautifully balanced acts of a herbal holistic skincare ritual. Oil cleansing helps to decongest pores, rooting out stagnation, inflammation, and dullness. This luscious oil glides easily over skin and providing the perfect opportunity for some light pressure and lymph drainage. Cleansing oil can be gently wiped away with a soft washcloth. Oil cleansers contribute to pulling the oils we collect on our skin during the day which can be dirty and filled with pollutants from the air, without stripping the skin of needed moisture. Since oil attracts oil (water repels oil) the cleansing oil can pick up any impurities and help to dissolve them away, revealing a brighter more even skin tone.

T H E    R I T U A L
To use, apply to dry skin using gentle but firm pressure with circular motions. If time allows massage over eyebrows, your third-eye area, and with palms pressing in an upward motion near corners of mouth and cheekbones.
Wipe away with a clean, soft washcloth that has been soaked in warm water. You may find some days a moisturizer is not needed after this step, but most of the time I apply a moisturizer anyways because when the skin becomes accustomed to being fed whole plant-based ingredients, it can easily absorb what we apply most of the time. Listen to your skin for what it needs as each day may be a little different.
