The Nikon Coolscan 5000 is a high quality film scanner for 35mm film. Unlike a flatbed scanner, a Coolscan scans the film directly- not through glass- for maximum detail. Scan resolution is up to 4000dpi. Fully tested, this scanner includes the SA-21 slide adapter, MA-21 negative strip feeder, USB cable and power cord. Nikon does have software available for this scanner, but compatibility is spotty with newer OS versions; we recommend Vuescan or Silverfast software (not included).
