The Wilesco Steam engine D161 is a medium-sized workshop. The color scheme of the base and unit plate combined with the black boiler gives the workshop a nostalgic look. In a small space, this steam engine workshop displays diverse mechanics in a compact way: The Wilesco Werkstatt D161 consists of a Wilesco steam engine model D16 with steam stop valve and centrifugal regulator, combined with a transmission, a dynamo, a lantern, and a forge hammer. The speeds of the flywheel and the built-in drive models can be controlled via the steam stop valve.

The steam engine workshop is powered by our dry fuel Witabs.

To visualize the generated steam power, the Wilesco Werkstatt D161 is equipped with an angle transmission and two permanently installed drive models:

• Dynamo with street lantern M66/2
• Forge hammer M58

Our steam engine workshop is easy to operate and therefore also suitable for beginners. Watching it is fun for both children and adults, and soon it will be whistling and hissing throughout the house.

Wilesco Werkstatt D161 as a novelty in 2019
The steam engine workshop was completely overhauled for its relaunch in 2019: The color of the base and unit plate was changed from blue to green. The D16 boiler is now painted black. Previously, three workshop drive models were permanently installed on the plate of the D161, but today you can design your workshop scene more flexibly: With the included angle transmission M50, you can easily connect any additional drive models. Thanks to the built-in dynamo with lantern, your Wilesco workshop is now always well lit.
