This piece is inspired by all the Mums, including my lovely Mum.  My children are 20 and 18 and they are gradually being encouraged by both myself and the environment around them to become more independent. Mum has always said to me, if you build a strong enough foundation at home, when they leave the nest and take what we have taught them they will always return (probably with a bag of washing but hey at least they’re home again!)
