This is the fourth album by conductor and classical DJ Aio Mizuno. This album, "HYPER NEO POST ROMANTIC," is Aosei Mizuno's first original album in which he composed all the songs based on the concept of "post-romanticism," an attempt to redefine and modernize romanticism. Mizuno regards each album as a film, creating a one-of-a-kind sound world with immersive classical soundscapes and romantic words interspersed throughout. Mizuno's "post-romantic" style is also meant to complement the "post-classical" genre that has been making great strides since the beginning of this century. Regarding this release, Ao Mizuno says, "I have been redefining classical music works in various ways, and in the process, I have developed a desire to know the sound that springs purely from myself, not a reproduction of something else. I feel that I have finally created a work that I strongly believe is me, albeit on top of the ideas bequeathed to me by my predecessors." He commented.Ao Mizuno made his major debut as a classical DJ in 2018 on the prestigious classical label Deutsche Grammophon, and performed at the label's Yellow Lounge event in Tokyo and Berlin. Last year, he held his second solo show at the Shibuya live house WWW, and continues to engage in a wide range of activities based on the concept of redefining and updating classical music in Japan and abroad. In addition, "Umi," which was previously distributed last October and another version is included in the album, was composed based on a sampling of a passage from Debussy's masterpiece, the symphonic poem "Umi," which is also included in the album.
