This head unit fitting kit includes:

Fakra to DIN antenna adapter cable (21-106)

Male Fakra to Male DIN antenna adapter cable. This cable adapts from a Farka antenna connection at the back of the cars original radio to a standard aftermarket DIN antenna connection to allow the fitting of an aftermarket radio upgrade. This is a passive adapter cable, not suitable for cars that need a phantom power supply to turn on the antenna amplifier.

Steering wheel control interface (49-MB-02)

Steering wheel control interface and adapter cable for various Mercedes cars to fit an aftermarket radio upgrade.

The cable adapts from the Quadlock connector in the car to standard aftermarket ISO connectors. This replaces the need for a separate ISO radio replacement adapter cable.

The CANbus steering wheel control interface is built in to the adapter cable for a plug and play installation.

This interface will allow the original audio control buttons on the steering wheel to work with the new aftermarket radio. The interface will work the volume, track skip and phone buttons. Note; the operation of these buttons can be dependent on the vehicle spec and radio compatibility.

The CANbus interface will also provide ignition, illumination, speed pulse, hand brake and reverse gear output signals to the new radio.

SLK Note: Use this interface for later models R171 with the steering control buttons in a circular cluster. This change of steering wheel happened around 2008 models

Universal patch lead for steering control interface (49-025)

Universal patch lead to be used with In car Tec 49 series steering wheel control interfaces. Use for Alpine, Clarion, JVC, Kenwood, Pioneer and Sony head units.

Mercedes Double DIN car audio fascia adapter (50-711)

Car radio Fascia adaptor panel to allow the fitting of an aftermarket double DIN car radio upgrade.

The Fascia adaptor allows the fitting of an aftermarket radio into the dashboard by matching the shape, style and colour of the original radio.

The Fascia adapter panel takes a 113mm high cage, this is the size of cages supplied with all major brand head unit manufactures. If a cage is needed, we sell a matching cage with part number 51-013.
