Additional Details: Original lithograph by Henri Matisse, titled Fruits, published in the important volume Prints from the Mourlot Press (Éditions Mourlot, Paris, 1964). This is the first edition, limited to 2,000 copies. Catalogued in Duthuit as no. 91. The book was conceived as a tribute to Fernand Mourlot, master printer of 20th-century modernists, and includes original lithographs by many of the era’s greatest artists. Alongside Matisse, the volume features works by Picasso (Bloch 1846; G.&C. 128), Chagall (Mourlot 415; Sorlier 87; Cramer 60), Miró (Cramer 91; Mourlot 332–333), Braque, Estève, Villon, Giacometti, Guiramand, Cathelin, André Brasilier, Cocteau, Minaux, Paul Jenkins, Calder, and others.
