With his delicate and profound musicianship, Joachim Carr, young Norwegian musician, seems to be the absolute antithesis of a competition pianist, and yet… he keeps winning competitions!

Just lately in fact, in October 2014, he won First Prize at the Edvard Grieg International Competition in Norway, and his biography includes many such achievements.

For his debut recording, he has chosen Schumann, Brahms and Berg with, as encore, a poignant love song by Schumann and Liszt.

This CD is also a tribute to the remarkable recital he gave in June 2014 during the 11th edition of the Cully Classique Festival. Joachim Carr was awarded the Festival’s “Coup de Coeur Piguet Galland”, whose endowment included the recording of this first album with Claves.
