Simple solution for solid soap at the sink (love the alliteration?).  

This simple stainless steel soap cage allows you to easily swish your dishwashing soap block either in the sink or under the flowing water.  No concerns about soap sticking to soap dishes.

I also have one for my sold laundry soap for swishing in the bucket if i am putting something in to soak.

The cage space itself suits a block to a maximum of 8cm x 5.5cm x 3.5cm depth.  For some of my thicker dish soaps I cut my blocks in half to fit the cage and make it all last longer.  (using all the appropriate safety measures).

Mine lives in my "kitchen bowl" with all my brushes and dishcloth,  but the design would allow it to be hung over a drip plate.
