Entering service in November 1997, the Spirit of Louisiana is the 21st and final B-2 Spirit built. It was just one of two flying wing bombers to be delivered from the Northrop Grumman factory as Block 30 aircraft with more advanced airborne systems, including more powerful radar and the ability to carry additional weapon systems. The remaining 18 examples (one aircraft had to be written off after an accident) were upgraded to this standard.
