Food and camping go hand and hand as both are great at bringing people together. However, when you think of camp foods you may think of the standard hotdogs, hamburgers, and smores. There are many ways cooking in the outdoors can be accomplished that can give you more options than those standard camp foods.  In this course we will cover the following:

• Simple methods of stick cooking over a fire
• Dutch coven and other cast iron cooking
• How to care for cast iron
• Long-distance hiking cooking options
• Backcountry cooking options
• Long and short term base camp cooking

There will be ample amounts of food to eat so bring an appetite for food and to learn.  This will be a very comprehensive and enjoyable day in the wilderness cooking, eating and enjoying with like-minded people.
