Cool Los Angeles freeway sign retired from the 101 freeway. Made in the the 1980s. This freeway takes you north/ south along the entire west coast of the United States from San Diego to the northern most part of Washington state. It runs through downtown Los Angeles and is one of the most recognizable roads in Southern California, and one of the busiest. Reflective white letters and border with a reflective green background. Stamped "CA 1988" on the back side. Entire sign is covered with button reflectors. Great piece of California history. 10 feet wide and 4.5 feet tall with metal rails on the back which allows it to float off the surface it is hanging on. Retired green metal sign in good condition with some wear as shown. Presents beautifully. Massive scale.
