P2P Core Defense is an exciting new product.  Umarex first showed us this about a year prior to the launch, and we have been waiting for it ever since. This patented Core Defense ammo is a .68 cal. round featuring a frangible shell that houses a perfectly centered steel ball surrounded by a potent 7% PAVA powder irritant. The result is a pepper-infused round ball ammo that provides maximum performance when it comes to accuracy, impact, and breakability on target. Prepared 2 Protect Core Defense ammo is compatible with most pepper-round, pepper ball, and paintball marker-type launchers. Inside each Core Defense ammunition round is a steel core that is held in place by internal supports. This patented design provides more stability in flight, which results in superior accuracy. Upon hitting the target, the steel core works in conjunction with specially engineered fracture lines on the shell to ensure better breakability upon impact compared to standard less lethal rounds. The energy of the core's impact is absorbed by the shell minimizing transfer of energy to the target. Together these features ensure the release of its pepper irritant payload creating a cloud of irritant up to 12 feet in diameter. When it enters the threat’s respiratory system, it causes severe irritation, slowing and in most cases, debilitating the threat so the user can get to safety. P2P Core Defense gives the user additional range when shot from a pepper ball-type launcher, like the P2P HDX Shotgun, so they can increase the distance between themselves and a threat. The plastic tube container contains 10 rounds of .68 caliber black and red Core Defense rounds. Protect more with the core. It's advisable to wear gloves when handling Core Defense pepper rounds.
