Esses ‘Coeur de Cuvée’ Méthode Traditionnelle 2015A sparkling wine from Kaikoura a vineyard with twenty year old Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines. Released after a minimum of five years on lees in bottle. A pale straw colour in the glass, with a busy fizz of soft bubbles. Oatmeal and biscuit aromas dominate the nose, with peach and apricot stonefruit flavours underneath. Dry and tart on the palate, with a pin point saline spine of acidity. Citrus notes emerge and are accented by a chalky minerality
