The Paris Collection (The 2024 Olympics!)

The Olympic Games are such a wonderful time where the world comes together to celebrate human perseverance, dedication, and capability.
This collection draws on both personal memories that I know I share with many people who have visited this beautiful city and country as well as the excitement these games bring to me – as I know they do for many of you. A magical place I’ve fallen in love with over and over again, I hope you enjoy this collection.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK: 
"Through the Trees" is an imagined piece as Lydia watched the Equestrian Cross Country event. In the beginning of the course, the competitors ride through a wooded section of the course. She was reminded of René Magritte piece "Blank Signature" with the thin trees splicing the canvas into different perspectives and causing us to question our perspective. While decidedly not a surrealist, Lydia allwed this piece to inform this whimsical piece which nods to both the Paris Olympics, and the "Blank Signature."

Each original painting has been painted on 300 lb French watercolor paper with a variety of high quality pigments that show off the brilliant color of each location. The paper and the pigment come together to give a truly unique artwork. There is only one of each.
