Fast/Gigabit Automotive Ethernet to Standard Ethernet converter

The 100/1000BASE-T1 Media Converter MATEnet establishes a point-to-point link between the Automotive Ethernet and Standard Ethernet, supports both 100 Mbit and 1000 Mbit speeds, and features the TE MATEnet connector. 

The media converter realizes a full-duplex physical-layer conversion between 1000BASE-T1 and 1000BASE-T (Gigabit Ethernet), or 100BASE-T1 and 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet) networks, and features TE MATEnet and RJ-45 connectors. Communication speed and master/slave settings can be auto negotiated with a link partner or set manually by the user.  Available with a Rosenberger H-MTD connector.

The device features advanced capabilities, including a frame generator, cable diagnostics, and the ability to function as a USB to CAN(/FD) interface concurrently with media conversion.

An open communication protocol over USB or CAN(/FD) facilitates the reading of status information and configuration of port parameters, ensuring seamless integration into any system. Users can programmatically configure the device, and a complimentary PC application is available to visualize the device’s status, configure its parameters, and utilize its advanced functions.

The media converter is an ideal tool for connecting a 100BASE-T1 or 1000BASE-T1 ECU to a computer or laptop. Built-in status LEDs and dip switches enable easy use of the converter without a PC. Also available with a Rosenberger H-MTD connector.
