The Wild Dog bangle is adorned with a tiny wild dog paw print on the flattened end of the bangle. This bangle, along with all other pieces created by Down 2 the Wire, are meticulously handcrafted in South Africa using repurposed snare wire.

Illegal snare traps are commonly used by wildlife poachers across Africa, and the wire from these traps serves no purpose once they’re removed from protected areas. Down 2 the Wire collects these discarded wires and transforms them into beautiful jewelry, then making partial proceeds available from sales to  assist veterinarians who volunteer their services to rescue and treat animals that have been caught in these cruel snares, helping to save and protect wildlife in the region.
