The Dry Stone Wall is a hand dyed tweed yarn inspired by the weathered greys and earthy tones of Ireland’s traditional stone walls. Hand-dyed in soft, natural shades of grey and beige with subtle flecks from the Donegal nep, this yarn captures the quiet beauty and timeless character of the Irish landscape. A versatile neutral that pairs beautifully with both bold colours and gentle pastels, it’s perfect for projects that deserve a touch of heritage charm.
Spun from either superwash merino or Bluefaced Leicester and blended with Donegal nep, this yarn is soft, durable, and full of character. Ethically sourced from non-mulesed sheep, it’s perfect for knitting or crochet projects that combine comfort with heritage-inspired charm.

Hand dyed in small batches in Donegal, Ireland.
Please note that, as with all hand dyed yarn, each skein is beautifully unique, and colours may vary slightly even within the same dyelot. Colours may also vary from screen to screen. To keep your knitting consistent, we recommend buying enough for your project at once.
Gently hand-wash in cold water with mild detergent or wool wash. Test swatch when combining light and dark shades, as deeper colours (especially reds and neons) may bleed. Squeeze excess water out before drying flat.
