A vintage mid-20th century red lacquered French Louis XIV style buffet deux corps having chinoiserie motifs hand painted in a raised pigment style in parcel gilt, circa 1940s. The upper cabinet features three carved raised panel arched doors that open to reveal a light pistachio green painted interior with three shelves. The bottom buffet has three carved raised panel doors and also opens to reveal the same light pistachio color interior and a single shelf for storage. Raised on a plinth base. A fabulous statement piece with plenty of storage, this beautiful and versatile French chinoiserie cabinet will mix well with both modern and traditional interiors to create a look that appears as though it's evolved over time.
