Issued for the 1839 Methodist Centenary in both John Wesley and George Whitefield forms [Whitefield by far the more rare and desirable], a charming full bust of Whitefield in what seems to be ebony, or something imitating it, with inlaid clerical tie in mother of pearl.

Measures 3.2 inches in height and retains original diced brass wax seal at base.

Moderate handling and wear as usual, slight loss at nose, but the form still very clear and attractive. Base reads, “Rev. G. Whitefield.”
