For sale here is a beautifully restored Mills Standard bamboo rod - vintage 1890 give or take. This line of rods was made by Leonard for retailer William Mills and Son. This is a 9 foot rod - 3 sections. I would call it a medium action 5 weight. Gorgeous rattan handle and handsome swelled butt. Flip ring guides. Not sure who performed the restoration but it was done very nicely. The Leonard stamping is not original obviously and was added at a later time, as was the agate stripper. The hang tag alone makes this a very rare find. I believe the bag and tube to be original, but I cannot be certain. This is a one-tip rod and priced to sell.
