The plates each feature six deeply molded scallop shell wells arranged around a central sauce reservoir. The surface is overlaid with a finely detailed basketweave relief background, lending texture and rustic charm to the radiant palette. Founded in the 1832 in the village of Longchamp, near Dijon, with Roman pottery roots, the Longchamp factory became a celebrated name in French ceramics.
