A very nice Charlton 8500 Signature Series 0.8 fly reel in near mint condition. Carbon fiber drag. Right hand retrieve. Serial number SS9288. The 0.8 spool can fit a WF8+150 30# or a WF10+160 20#. Comes with its original green cordura reel pouch. This reel could almost be listed as mint, since the foot, frame, and rims are completely clean, the only sign of any use being a few miniscule scuffs on the end of the knob and counterbalance (and those could conceivably be from handling, though the reel was spooled with backing). The 8500 signature series was one of the flagship reels of Charlton's saltwater catalog, built with incredible quality and precision. Available in three widths, .8, 1.2 and 1.6, each size includes the legendary sealed, self-adjusting carbon fiber disk drag, includes over 9-square inches of surface area, and boasts five, oversized aerospace precision bearings. A large arbor design gives the angler over 1 foot of line retrieve per revolution. Meticulously coated with a high-polished, deep black Type III anodized finish with matte reliefs.
