It's time to dive headfirst into the world of THE HEADCOATS once again, as four of the long-lost THEE HEADCOATEES albums are seeing the light of day again as reissues.
Originally released only on vinyl in Japan in the nineties, these gems are now available not only on their native vinyl.
THEE HEADCOATEES were Holly Golightly, Ludella Black, Kyra Rubella, and Bongo Debbie, who together released an impressive seven studio albums, a singles compilation, and a split live album with THEE HEADCOATS. THEE HEADCOATEES toured live with THEE HEADCOATS between 1990 and 1999 before disbanding in 1999, a move that THEE HEADCOATS themselves followed a year later. Holly Golightly continued on her solo path, releasing 13 albums and so many singles they're almost impossible to count, and appearing as a welcome guest on records by Rocket from the Crypt, The White Stripes, and Mikabomb. Ludella Black, for her part, was a founding member of the legendary Delmonas, released two solo albums with another in the works, and toured with The Masonics. Kyra Rubella released a solo album and several singles on various labels and recorded a single with Armitage Shanks in 1996. She currently plays with Debbie and Julie of Musicians of the British Empire in The A-Lines. Bongo Debbie, on the other hand, plays with The Buffalos, The A-Lines, and Dutronic, having previously been active with The Wound Be Goods, Honey & the Hucksters, Baby Birkin, and probably quite a few others.
