The Derby Helo Strap™ is a compact helicopter extraction device designed for rapid patient attachment during short-haul and hoist rescue operations. Originally developed by a Southern California fire department for flood channel rescues, this proven system allows rescuers to quickly secure a subject and perform efficient aerial evacuations from water, cliffs, and other difficult environments.

Designed to position the rescuer behind the patient, the Derby Helo Strap uses two adjustable cinch straps with integrated handles to quickly secure the subject around the chest area. Heavy-duty webbing construction provides exceptional durability for repeated use in harsh conditions, while the compact design allows for convenient aircraft storage and rapid deployment when every second counts.
