A lovely item for sure. Not only is the present a quite nicely preserved pre-print of the first edition of Lewis’ classic work on the nature of love, but it retains it’s loose leaf insert note from the published indicating it is a pre-publication review copy issued prior to official publication. And dated March 28, 1960. Probably less than 100 copies issued in this manner and the vast majority likely discarded or stamped all to doom by the reviewers.
