A very nice Tom Moran bamboo fly rod, 7', 2-piece, 2-tip, built for a #4 line. 3 ounces. Serial #844. Near mint condition. Slight cosmetic casting cracks at the male ferrules are the only sign of use, the rod is perfect otherwise. Medium to medium-fast action. The original owner's name is on the rod. The cane color is several shades darker than wheat straw. Small hard-pressed nodes. The tips are mirrored. Excellent coat of varnish. The main wraps are transparent with tiny cinnamon edges. SRMC carbide stripper and black snake guides. The step ferrules are polished. The grip is a 6" medium cigar. The seat is curly tiger maple slide band with a coat of gloss varnish with a nickel silver cap and ring. The rod comes in a tan cloth bag and an interesting aluminum tube with the threads for the brass cap cut directly into the tube. A Tom Moran data sticker is affixed to the outside.
