This is an absolutely fabulous French farmhouse armoire circa about 1840. The piece is peg constructed with some nice carving on the front. It comes with the original working key. However, it does show its age and will need some restoration. I'm going to try and describe the problems but please see all the photos for details.

The doors close and lock perfectly but there is a gap at the top of one door. The top surround locks perfectly into place but is in two pieces instead of the original one. The interior is missing all the shelving and the hanging bar. And the back legs have been worn down so the piece tilts back slightly. All of the above are signs of age in a 180-year-old piece.

This wardrobe is 81" tall, 55" wide across the top, 51.5” wide in the center and 24.5" deep.
