A wonderful assemblage of 5 rare titles by Giuseppe Petrelli. Petrelli became a Baptist pastor in Naples, Italy in 1905. He then moved to Chicago to pastor a Baptist church there and came under the sway of the newly emerged Pentecostal movement there [William Durham; Stone Church; etc.]. He was baptized in the Holy Spirit and began preaching the Pentecostal doctrine in 1915.

Always an independent person and placing great emphasis on the interior, invisible work of the Spirit, he remained largely unaffiliated, though he did carry credentials with the Assemblies of God during WWI.

He is considered the most significant Italian Pentecostal writer and thinker of the 20th century Pentecostal revival. His works are all rather scarce in the small run English translations done during the 1930's and 40's. We were fortunate enough to acquire an entire little grouping of them.

1. The Church the Invisible. Merlo & Sons. 1948. 252pp.

2. Heavenward: The Holy Spirit, Receiving the Kingdom, and Partakers of the Divine Nature. Van Rees Press. 1953. 298pp.

3. Him - His. Christ Jesus the Lord, In His Doctrine, As in Heaven, and Death and Resurrection. Van Rees Press. 1954. 318pp.

4. The Redeemer. Merlo & Sons. 1948. 360pp.

5. The Son of Man. Merlo's Publishing. 1943. 397pp.

All quite good with some rminor rubbing, small numbers at base of spine. Else quite crisp and clean.
