Hardy Rogue River Fly Rod 9'6" 3/2 #7A scarce Hardy Palakona "The Rogue River" bamboo fly rod, 9'6", 3 piece, 2 tip, and built for what reels to me like a #7 or possibly even an #8. Serial #H16350 stamped into the barrel of the reel seat, dating the rod to 1958. Excellent original condition and the rod is nice and straight. The only issues I could find are that the agate stripping guide is loose in the wraps and should be attended to, and there is a little fading to the bluing on the tip

A scarce Hardy Palakona "The Rogue River" bamboo fly rod, 9'6", 3-piece, 2-tip, and built for what reels to me like a #7 or possibly even an #8. Serial #H16350 stamped into the barrel of the reel seat, dating the rod to 1958. Excellent original condition and the rod is nice and straight. The only issues I could find are that the agate stripping guide is loose in the wraps and should be attended to, and there is a little fading to the bluing on the tip ferrules as well as some soiling to the grip. Very clean otherwise. Light wheatstraw cane done in a three up node pattern, and the model is inked in the typical spiral fashion just above the grip. Wrapped in maroon with full intermediates. The rod has the aforementioned agate stripping guide, main chrome bridge guides, and agate tip-tops. Oxidized ferrules with the accompanying ferrule plugs. 7 1/4" grip shaped to full wells profile and moderately soiled. The reel seat is an uplocking aluminum screwlock with a hidden pocket cap over a bakelite insert. The Hardy warrants are stamped into the screwlock. The rod also comes with an accompanying fighting butt which screws into the bottom of the cap. The rod packs into the original olive green Hardy bag and original tube with the Hardy label largely intact.
