For sale here is a Paul H. Young fly rod - 7 1/2", 3/2, 4 3/8 oz. marked for a six-weight line. Excellent original condition. The rod was purchased from Marty Keane and Marty told the owner that the rod was made in 1948-1949. Bob Summers told me the reel seat is from Shakespeare (the PHY Young Co. sold a lot of these seats). Bob is not sure who made the blanks (w/ 2-up node pattern). The ferrules were designed by Gus Pernack when he was part owner of the company (size 15/64 and 10/64). The grip is in fine condition. Dark green wraps. The wraps and varnish are in excellent condition.
