8'5" Prototype

This prototype log from Kris is geared toward those that like to stay perched on the nose just as much as they like to lay in to turns. The outline is reminiscent of Kris' Daily Cup but with some higher performance features, the rail foil is boxy and forgiving while the rocker is nicely blended with a healthy amount of nose rocker. The bottom contour exhibits a solid amount of nose concave that flattens out a few feet down from the nose and transitions into a light spiral vee through the tail providing a hard, tucked rail foil that functions well for allowing the board to manuver rail to rail fluidly. The three fin option on this board can be used to provide an array of different feelings varying from a classic single fin set up on one side of the spectrum to that of a thruster set up on the opisite end of the spectrum. The lighter weight cloth that was used in the glassing process provides a lighter weight feeling. This is an ideal smaller longboard for someone who is light weight or someone looking to step down the volume of their current longboard in favor for a more manuverable option.
