1968-1972 Buick Skylark/Gran Sport/Wagons: 400-455 1.875" O.D. x 32", Collector Size 3" O.D., Collector Length 10", Port Shape: Same As Port
Part Number: 1203HKR
With Hooker Super Competition the objective has always been to make the maximum horsepower and to put it at the optimum point in the power curve. It takes a lot of time and money to do the job right. We will sometimes spend up to 2 to 3 times more just to make the Super Competition header work only 5 to 10% better. That commitment to excellence has made Hooker Headers the winningest header manufacturer in automotive drag racing history.
Features and Benefits
• Tuned-length primary tubes for maximum exhaust scavenging and velocity • Mandrel-bent tubing for smooth exhaust flow • Light weight & sturdy 18 gauge tubing • Long transition collector for decreased back pressure • 5/16” machined flanges for a perfect seal • Industry’s best welds for durability • Designed for optimal performance
NOTE: The backside of the driver's side port flange will possibly need to be relieved/notched to provide clearance to install the engine oil dipstick tube. This can best be accomplished through the use of a rotary file equipped die-grinder, a 4"-4.5" angle grinder, or a rat-tail round hand file._x000D_

Breaking in an engine with ceramic coated headers WILL result in damage to the coating and will VOID all warranties. Ceramic coated headers require several heat cycles to fully cure before they will withstand extreme heat. Hooker recommends using cast iron exhaust manifolds or old headers to break in new engines to avoid coating damage. Please call Hooker tech service at 270-781-9741 for additional information regarding ceramic coated exhaust products. The use of header wraps can cause the header tubes to crack or rust due to excessive heat and moisture build-up. Hooker does not recommend the use of header wraps as this will void the warranty. Hooker long tube headers do not come with header reducers.
