Lowlands Single Malt · 46% · 700 ml
Lindores Abbey Commemorative First Release MCDXCIV is the very first official single malt from the re-established Lindores Abbey Distillery in the Lowlands. This bottling marks the return of a historic site where written records of whisky production in Scotland date back to 1494 (MCDXCIV).
Bottled in 2021, the whisky is a vatting of bourbon, sherry, and wine barriques , resulting in an accessible yet layered style. A symbolic release with historical weight, intended as a launchpad for the distillery—not a heavily aged powerhouse.
Nose: ripe apple, pear, light honey, vanilla and soft spiciness
Taste: round and smooth, malty, fruity, light sweetness with influences of sherry and wine
Finish: medium long, softly drying with subtle wood notes

Interesting as a reference and storage bottle within a collection
This is primarily a drinkable, symbolic bottling . It's a limited investment in the short term due to the relatively large production run, but it's relevant as the first chapter in Lindores Abbey's history. Ideal for those who want to follow a distillery from its inception.
