Featuring a wider profile, softer padding, and premium French leathers, this headband offers greater comfort than previous versions, with an elegant embossed ABYSS logo across the top. The latest design also features user-replaceable stretch rings, making future maintenance a breeze.

Installation Instructions:

Please follow these steps carefully when replacing your AB1266 headband:

1. Pull one elastic ring under, into, and over the top of the gumdrop holder.

2. Pull up on the ring toward the metal headband to fully seat it inside the gumdrop holder.

3. Repeat for the opposite side, being careful not to stretch either elastic ring more than 1 inch (2.5 cm) during installation.

4. The ABYSS logo should be oriented correctly—left to right when worn.

Customizing AB1266 Headband Fitment

A new leather headband may stretch slightly over time. To accelerate this break-in process, we recommend hanging the headphone on a stand for a few days, allowing the leather to relax into a more natural position.

If you find you need less headband tension or prefer the earpads to sit lower on your ears, you can swap the stock o-rings with slightly larger sizes:

• US Sizes: 214 or 215

• Metric: 3.5 × 24 mm or 3.5 × 24.7 mm

Even a small increase in inner diameter can significantly reduce tension.

Stock O-Ring Specs:

• US: 213

• Metric: 3.5 × 23.7 mm

• Japan: P24

👉 Pro Tip: You can find affordable Viton or Buna-N o-ring kits on Amazon to experiment with fit.

• Stock AB1266 o-rings are made of urethane (approx. 70 D hardness), offering superior durability.

• Buna-N or Viton are more common and lower cost alternatives but may wear out sooner.

• Avoid plain rubber or non-specified materials as quality and performance may vary.

• Plumbing o-rings likely have no protection against UV light and will deteriorate.
