A very nice Hardy St. George fly reel, 3" diameter and with the early three-screw latch. RHW. Excellent condition throughout with some very minor cosmetic wear to the finish only. Unmolested ribbed brass foot and MKII check. No cracks, chips, or dings. The gray agate line guide is crack-free. Both "M" and "TP" are stamped into the frame right next to each other but in different sizes so I suspect the "M" was a parts stamp while "TP" referred to Thomas Pattinson (1920-1930) which dates this reel to the interwar period. The tension regulator works as intended and the reel has a pleasing click throughout its range. The reel comes in a non-original suede zipper pouch for safekeeping. A very fine example of this classic model!
