This handmade Damascus steel folding knife is crafted for collectors and everyday carry enthusiasts who value precision, durability, and distinctive design. The blade is hand-forged from layered Damascus steel, creating a naturally flowing pattern that makes every knife truly one of a kind.
This Damascus folding knife opens smooth and closes solid, with 3.5 inches of hand-forged layered steel hardened to 59-60 HRC. The black honeycomb epoxy resin scales lock your grip in place without pinching. At 7.5 inches overall, it rides in a pocket, on a belt, or clipped to a pack without getting in the way.
The blade is hand-forged from Damascus steel. The layered pattern flows the full length of the blade and shifts with the light. No two blades look alike. The steel is hardened to 59 to 60 HRC. That rating puts it in the serious working-knife range: hard enough to hold a sharp edge through repeated cutting tasks, and stiff enough to resharpen with a whetstone without chipping. The 3.5-inch length is legal for everyday carry in most US states and the right size for field and utility tasks.
The scales are black honeycomb epoxy resin. The hexagonal grid pattern gives your fingertips a natural index point on every grip. It does not shift in a bare hand or a winter glove. The stainless steel bolsters are hand-engraved with a fish design that runs the length of the spine and heel of the handle. Precision steel pins hold the assembly square and tight.
The knife measures 7.5 inches overall and closes to a 4-inch carry length. The folding mechanism runs on precision steel pins and delivers smooth, consistent action on every open and close. The balance point sits near the pivot, keeping the knife neutral in hand during controlled cuts. No rattle. No wobble. No side play.
A hand-stitched genuine leather sheath ships with every knife. The leather is tan with a snap-close front and tight hand stitching along the full seam. It seats the folded knife securely for belt carry or pack storage and protects the blade and handle between uses.
The 3.5-inch blade handles field dressing game, prepping food at a campsite, cutting cord, and utility tasks on the job. Hunters carry it for whitetail work because it closes and pockets without snagging. Collectors carry it because the Damascus pattern draws a second look every time. Hand-forged Damascus holds a working edge longer than machine-stamped steel at the same HRC because the forging process aligns the grain structure across the blade.
Every JW SteelCrafts knife is hand-forged in Texas by skilled craftsmen. No two pieces are identical in pattern or detail. JW SteelCrafts carries 4.91 stars from 829 verified buyers. Orders ship in 5 to 10 business days from Texas.

Hold the handle with a firm four-finger grip and keep your thumb clear of the spine during a cut. For controlled tasks, use the belly of the blade rather than the tip. Open the knife fully before any cut and close it completely before returning it to the sheath. Never pry or twist the blade sideways. Damascus steel is hard, not flexible, and lateral stress will damage the edge.
Wipe the blade dry with a soft cloth immediately after use.
Hand wash only, using mild soap and warm water.
Never put this knife in a dishwasher. The heat and detergent will pit the blade and degrade the epoxy resin handle.
Apply a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil to the blade with a soft cloth.
Wipe off any excess. A light coat is enough to block rust and oxidation from forming on the Damascus steel.
Store the knife in its leather sheath in a dry location.
Do not store in a damp bag or sealed container with trapped moisture. Moisture causes rust.
Use a whetstone or ceramic rod to sharpen. Maintain the original bevel angle throughout every stroke.
Finish with a leather strop to align the edge and restore the cutting bite.
Sharpen lightly and often. Removing the minimum amount of steel preserves the Damascus layering near the edge.

Use a whetstone or ceramic rod. Follow the original bevel angle and finish with a leather strop. A few careful passes every few weeks keeps the edge sharp without removing excess blade material.
