A nice Thomas and Thomas "Henry's Fork" model bamboo fly rod, 8'6", 2-piece, 2-tip, and built for a #5 line. Serial #5725. The rod weighs 5.6 ounces on my scale. Modestly used condition. There is some soiling to the grip and the start of some casting cracks at the ferrule wraps. The action is medium fast. Impregnated cane, which has a flamed tiger stripe with three up nodes. The main wraps are brown at the keeper and ferrules and light tan at all of the guides. Carbide stripper and chrome guides and tip tops. The swiss ferrules are oxidized and have the collar on the males. The rod is straight and the ferrule fits are tight. The grip is 6 1/2" long and turned to a western profile with a hidden pocket cap for the nickel silver uplocking screwlock. The wood spacer is a varnished and smokey veined walnut. The screw slide is stamped "Thomas and Thomas, Makers". The rod packs into a tan cloth bag with a stiffener and a Thomas and Thomas pull tab. The extra large aluminum tube is black crackle painted with brass fixtures and the T&T data sticker.
