Teamac Wood Primer is a modified alkyd-based primer designed to seal and protect wood surfaces before painting. Suitable for both interior and exterior use, it provides a smooth, even base that promotes excellent adhesion for finishing coats.

Ideal for softwoods and general timber surfaces, this primer helps prevent absorption and patchiness, ensuring a consistent, long-lasting finish.

Surface Preparation

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, sound and free from contaminants such as grease, dirt or wax.

• New wood: Sand smooth and remove dust to provide a good key.

• Previously coated surfaces: Remove loose or flaking paint and sand to achieve an even surface before priming.

• Bare or absorbent wood: Apply a single even coat to seal the surface prior to finishing.

Directions for Use

1. Stir thoroughly before and during use.

2. Apply by brush, roller or spray in smooth, even coats.

3. If required, thin up to 10% with Teamac Thinners 14.

4. Allow to dry for 8 hours touch dry and 16 hours or overnight before overcoating.

5. Apply at around 75 μm wet film thickness to achieve 35–40 μm DFT.

6. For best results, lightly sand between coats to maintain a smooth finish.
