For sale here is an extremely scarce, original Hardy Bougle fly reel in excellent+ condition. 3" diameter. Full-length and unaltered smooth brass foot. The erinoid handle is one of the most stunning I've ever seen and remains in sound and free-spinning condition. Nickel silver rim tension regulator screw works perfectly. Duplicated MKII check with one engageable pawl and one spare from approximately 1920 +- a year or so. Excellent condition mechanically. No spindle end play or wobble. A really excellent example of a rare original Bougle. No leading exists because there never was any leading. Hardy made a select number of these reels "in the white". "Spitfire" is another popular term for this style of finish. The reel weighs 4.8 oz. Reel foot is 2.5" in length.
