Here is a cased Bronze Medal designed by world renowned Artist R. Tait McKenzie. This is the Medal design that won at the Los Angeles Olympics Arts Competition in 1932. Robert Tait McKenzie was an Artist, Doctor, Soldier, and Scout. He was born in Almonte Ontario, which is just outside Ottawa, Canada's Capital. McKenzie was a lifelong friend of another Almonte luminary, James Naismith, the inventor of Basketball.
This Bronze Medal is in new condition, in its original presentation box. The Obverse has the iconic image of the Shield of Athletes. The reverse is blank except for a Laurel Leaf Border. This version was made in 2008, by Medallic Art Co. of Dayton, NV.
