Why Sun Protection Factor? There are three types of UV radiation: UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. They differ in their wavelength and penetrate the skin to varying depths. Long-wave UVA radiation and short-wave UVB rays reach the Earth. UVA rays have less energy than UVB rays but penetrate the dermis. They produce free radicals that age the skin and cause lasting damage.

Sunscreen even in winter: The skin's natural fat production decreases at temperatures below 8°C, jeopardizing the natural protection against dehydration. Also, blood circulation is generally slowed down. All these factors make your skin more vulnerable to UV rays. Even on cloudy days, UVA and UVB rays penetrate our skin and accelerate skin aging.
