A very finely produced ceramic, glazed bust of John Wesley after the original 1781 edition of Enoch Wood.

Measures approximately 12.5 inches in height. 

Condition is superb with a few baking cracks on base, as usual and desired. Certainly later than the 1781, but vintage and a lovely example.

Reads on the back, "The Original Inscription Read, 'The Rev. John Wesley M.A. Fellow of Lincoln College Oxford and Founder of Methodism. He Sat for this Bust to Mr. Enoch Wood, Sculptor. Burslem in 1781 and Died in 1791 Aged 88 Years. Is not this a Brand Plucked Out of the Fire?'"
