For sale here is a Sage Graphite II RP586 8'6" 5wt 2 pc. fly rod. The rod is in excellent condition, though it does show minor aesthetic wear. Chocolate brown sanded blank with matching wraps and light clay colored tipping, double tipping at the hook keeper, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip-top. Bright guides, U-shaped hook keeper. The reverse half wells grip is only lightly soiled and in wonderful shape. Bright aluminum up-locking reel seat with richly banded fine wood spacer. It is similar to those seen on classic Orvis rods. There are a few light scratches in the seat. The ferrules fit together tightly and are also sound, no cracks. The rod weighs 3.35 oz. The action is fast though it does have a bit more flex than most modern rods, a rod trait becoming more and more difficult to find in graphite rods. This would make for a dependable high quality back-up rod, or first rod. Well suited as an all-around trout and panfish rod. Includes original bag without tears or defects and original aluminum tube with sage label.
