A large Cliff Herron saltwater fly reel, set up for LHW. 4 1/2" in diameter with a 1 3/8" spool width. Direct drive. Gold anodized color, with porting on the winding plate side of the spool. Used condition with moderate wear around the frame. There is also some corrosion around the base of the crank handle, near where the foot joins the frame, and a little bit of minor corrosion on the inside of the spool. The reel functions just fine mechanically however, with a very powerful drag. "Herron" stamped into the foot and "690-01" on the reverse side of the foot. A sticker with a previous line is affixed next to the foot with a little bit of residual adhesive. Comes in black nylon pouch with red piping.
