A rare early 20th century French Art Deco display table handcrafted of solid oak and brass in the Île de France region, circa 1930s. Found in a ladies clothing atelier in the heart of the Left Bank in the Saint Germain des Pres neighborhood of Paris, this handsome table features a rectangular oak plank top with beveled edges above two shelves on a solid brass frame. The detailing of the brass is of a very high quality and features stylized tulip shaped sabots on each end. Raised on six brass feet with tulip sabots. This handsome table, once used to display clothing, is very functional and can float in a room. It would make a fantastic kitchen island with plenty of room for storing pots and pans, baskets, breadboards or dishes. Also perfect for use as a console table or sofa table and could easily be converted into a bathroom vanity.
